Anj was super sweet and wrote me down some tips. Here they are.

1. Drink lots of hot water through the day
2. Drink a glass of hot water with honey and lemon first thing in the morning. Clears your system and also helps you lose weight
3. After any heavy meal drink a glass of hot water and ginger boiled together
4. Start going for regular clean ups. Do a facial at least one in 3 weeks.
5. Drink a glass of beetroot and carrot juice everyday. You can alternate it with a glass of carrot and tomato juice. Both great for hair and skin.
6. Cleanse your face everyday. If you aren’t already, start using a night cream every night
7. Hair packs, Skin packs at least once a week.
8. Once a week an oil bath( you can get massage ladies to come home) Olive oil and allanna. Try getting a steam done once a week . A great body paste i use when i have the patience- Besan, honey, curd, lime and a little milk. Use it to wash off the oil
9. Use a really good sun screen everyday.
10. Eat lots of green vegetables. Some salad everyday.
11. Start eating 2 badams everyday in the morning. Make sure you chew it properly so that all the juices come out and you swallow it properly
12. Do yoga!
13. Also, if you can manage then go for a 15 minute walk everyday in the morning. You will see the difference in your skin in a week’s time
14. Do facial exercises regularly
15. Keep smiling and stay happy, it will show on your skin

    Rasika sent me a mail with these caveats to the above:

    Make sure water is lukewarm and not hot. Hot dehydrates and gives you acidity.

    Facials over a period in time damage the skin- they need to be done perhaps 1 in 3 months. feroz gujral, kirron kher and many women who have fantastic skin have NEVER had a facial in their lives. Some home remedies like besan with cream or honey used on the face everyday are far more effective.

    Caroots and Beet are great for haemoglobin. However it has vast quantities of sugar so best eaten in the raw form- whole carrot and whole beet.

    Remember to change the brand and type of cream to cleanse face – almond oil and vit e oil are actually far more effective

    Natural remedies are always better.

    The body needs a minimum of 10 almonds/badam. Important to soak them overnight else the skin can sometimes have a corrosive effect on the colon.
